About PeerStudy

Built by a student who saw a gap and filled it.

Founder & Developer

I'm a student at Centenary University studying Business Management and a solo business owner. Just a 19-year-old who had an idea and decided to turn it into reality. For years, I always wanted to have my own business. I'd force myself to think of ideas, constantly searching for the right one. Then I stepped back and let it come to me naturally. One Saturday night, I thought about a study partner app for colleges and from that moment on, I saw the value. That vision is what drove me to build an app that doesn't just help college students find study partners, but delivers a safer, stronger campus community.

The Problem

Finding study partners in college is harder than it should be. Students sit in the same lectures, struggle with the same material, but have no easy way to connect outside the classroom. Between social anxiety, fear of rejection, and not knowing who's even in your class — most students just study alone.

The Solution

When I did the research, I saw the gap. A few apps touched on student collaboration, but none of them focused exclusively on campus-level study matching with the safety, simplicity, and real-time features that students actually need. So I built it. PeerStudy lets students find study partners and create study groups within their specific college classes — complete with .edu email verification, course-level matching, 1 on 1 private calls, group video calls, real-time messaging, and a two-tier safety system designed to keep every interaction appropriate and productive.

Our Mission

No student should have to study alone. PeerStudy exists to make academic collaboration effortless — connecting students with the right study partners at the right time, all within the safety of their own campus network. But it's bigger than academics. The connections students make through studying together become real friendships, support systems, and communities that last beyond the classroom.

For Universities

PeerStudy is built to integrate directly into your campus. With .edu-only verification, school-scoped matching, and comprehensive content moderation, administrators can offer students a powerful study tool while maintaining full confidence in safety and privacy. With 65% of college students reporting loneliness and lonely students being 4x more likely to experience severe psychological distress (Active Minds/TimelyCare, 2024), PeerStudy gives your institution a proven tool to boost student connection and retention.
